SZCZECIN (POL, Aug 15): Second Memorial Wiesław Maniak offered to nicely filled stadium home hero Piotr Lisek winning the pole vault with 581 and nice tries at 591. Second Pawel Wojciechowski and third Greek Emmanouil Karalis equaled his outdoor PB 571 and had one close try at 581. Other Polish heroes delivered also. Michal Haratyk 21.22 in shot put and Marcin Lewandowski 1:45.09 in the 800 m. Here second Morrocan Mouad Zahafi 1:45.63 PB. In the 400 m wins for Briton Rabah Yusif 45.98 and neutral Alyona Mamina 51.88 ahead of Jamaican Chrisann Gordon 52.05. In the 1500 m races better times for women, also Doha standards. Belarus favorite Darya Barisevich 4:05.13 over Yolanda Ngarambe from Sweden 4:05.18 PB, German Caterina Granz 4:05.60 PB and Spain´s Esther Guerrero 4:05.70 PB with another Spanish Marta Perez 4:05.85 as fifth. Czechs dominated in the men´s 1500 m, Filip Sasinek won in 3:39.01 and Jakub Holusa was third 3:39.45, in-between Turkey´s Ilham Ozbilen in season debut 3:39.30. Sprints had winners of combination 100/200 m. Among women Slovenian Maja Mihalinec 11.48 (+0.1) and 23.06 (-2.5) and among men Christophe Lemaitre (10.48 and 20.56) ahead of Churandy Martina (10.48 and 20.73) and Ogho-Oghene Egwero (10.34 and 21.13).
