This is a fascinating piece. The US champs have a tendency, except in Eugene, to be a quarter to half full. Imagine if there would be some promotion, and guess what can happen.
Well, in the UK, British champs, to be held June 21-22, is nearly sold out in November of 2019!

Great Britain pole vaulter Holly Bradshaw has praised fans after the 2020 British Athletics Championships was sold out within three days.
The event will be a team trial for GB athletes looking to seal their spot for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The 28-year-old Olympian said: “It’s fantastic that the British Athletics Championships have sold out so quickly – it really does demonstrate the popularity of the sport not only in the North West, but across the UK as well as the excitement around the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
“This is going to be a brilliant event for all athletes looking to secure their place in Tokyo. Sold-out crowds create atmospheric stadiums – that tends to be when we all perform at our best and with so much talent in the UK at the moment, everyone will need to raise their game to make the team,” she continued.
This is the first time in 13 years Manchester has held the event. The British Athletics Championships take place on June 20-21 next year at the Regional Arena.
