Mo Farah dominated the 5000m and 10,000m from 2011 until 2017, when he decided to focus on the marathon. The move to the marathon has been much of a learning curve, some things were quite good, such as his win in Chicago and new European record, and somethings have not been so good.

This morning, Mo Farah released this video, on his channel, noting that he will be on the track in Tokyo! That should be quite exciting, as he rebuilds his focus and timing at 12.5 laps and 25 laps this coming year. It should add some challenges for Joshua Cheptegai, Geoffrey Kamworor and Yomif Kejelcha, among others.
Why was Farah so good at racing? He knew how to play his competitors into racing tactics that were best for Mo Farah. His reputation also concerned them. When you are racing against a guy who can go 2:24 in a final 1000m, and 4 minutes in a final 1,600m, you should be concerned.
Can he win Tokyo 2020? Too soon to tell, but the buildup should be fantastic!
