Eliud Kipchoge is one of the finest athlete in the history of global athletics. The Virgin Money London marathon is now planned for the 4th of October, and the questions abound on how it will be held. I love the London marathon, and miss the pagentry that surrounds the event.
Kipchoge hopeful
NAIROBI (KEN): World marathon record-holder Eliud Kipchoge is still hopeful of taking on Kenenisa Bekele at the rescheduled Virgin Money London Marathon on 4 October. Organisers this week confirmed all elite originally invited for the race before it was moved from its April date would be asked again. “Of course the coronavirus has shred all plans we had preparing for the April race in London,” Kipchoge said. “But what I want to confirm is that the desire and will to run against Bekele in October is still there. The race hopefully, will be in October, should the health situation improve.” From Xinhua.
