I love what Sound Running did in August with their 2 meets. Now, they are putting on a meet December 4-5, 2020 in SoCal. The meet was the idea of Jesse Williams and his team.

Sound Running “Track Meet” set for December 4 & 5

[10/13/20] Sound Running will close out the year with a night of distance in SoCal on December 4th and 5th. With most road races and marathons postponed the Track Meet will be a great opportunity for athletes to compete safely. The event will serve athletes looking to grab that PR, qualifier, or Olympic standard….and yes it is called the Track Meet.

3000m Steeple, 5000m, 10,000m, and High School 5000m races will be held with pacing for the top professional heats set up for athletes chasing the Olympic and USATF standards.
The Track Meet was originally set for May 23 this past spring. “When we heard the window for qualifying would not reopen until December 1st we decided to move the event. We’ve learned so much as a sport through the success of all these summer events and this will hopefully be one more chance for athletes to kick 2020 in the ass.” – Sound Running

Giving back to the sport through our events
Sound Running events are the best way we know to give back to the sport and community. Our goal is to provide more opportunities for professional and developing athletes each year with a better event product, more prize money, and always putting the athletes and fans first. The Track Meet serves as a great event for athletes looking to grab that qualifier or standard while the Under Armour Sunset Tour will serve as the premier summer events each season
