Seb Coe, in the note below, speaks eloquently on how determined the Tokyo LOC is to host the upcoming Olympics. I am dumb founded. In what parallel universe does the IOC think that they can host an event, that without a vaccine, a global event. I wish them well. I hope them success.

LONDON (GBR): World Athletics president Seb Coe says Tokyo 2020 are determined to stage the Games next year despite the ongoing pandemic which forced the postponement from this summer. “The future is uncertain but let me give you a slightly more optimistic message. I recently visited Tokyo and met top officials there including ministers in the government. There I can see a cast-iron determination to stage the Games,” Coe said. From Press Trust of India.

When a city or region hosts the Olympic Games, the momentum can help achieve its long-term sustainable development objectives.
