Colin Jackson went 7.30 in the 60m hurdles way back in 1994. It is now 27 years and I can recall only a handul of athletes who could challenge Colin’s mark. Grant Holloway was different, he has the tools, and last night, went 7.32, then 7.29, and made athletics fans smile about Grant and know that Colin was and is, someone special.
Colin showed class. One would expect nothing else.
Jackson’s congrats
A most amazing season! Thanks @@Flaamingoo_ , @adidasrunning https://t.co/fdNsFyfOSS

LONDON (GBR): Now already former World indoor record holder Colin Jackson reacted positively to Grant Holloway taking a hundredth off his world record.”As a fan of athletics, it was great to see Grant break the indoor record,” said Jackson. “He’s been so close on a few occasions, so it was only going to be a matter of time. I’m always excited to see history being made. Congratulations Grant, keep improving and go sub 7.25!” Via World Athletics.
Love this quote from @jonridgeon:
“@colinjackson should be worried about his record being broken by @Flaamingoo_ right now! Colin’s record has remained intact for approaching 30 years! Colin’s record demonstrates just how fast he ran back in the 1990’s!” @WorldAthletics pic.twitter.com/1GuDN5vzFN— RunBlogRun (@RunBlogRun) February 23, 2021
