Bill Rodgers introduced the award for the late Tom Fleming, the 1973 and 1975 NYC Marathon Champion. Tom had died in the spring of 2017, due to a heart attack, at the age of 65.
The 2017 NYRR Hall of Fame recognized those past and present who influenced the New York Road Runners.
