Today is week six, day 5.
It is a recovery day.
Last night, Jakob Ingebrigtsen set a new world indoor record at the 1,500m in 3:30.60 at the Meeting de Lieven. What was interesting about this race? Well Jakob had an American, Eric Sowinski, who has competed in the last 13 US indoor champs and runs like a darn metronome. His pace was perfect, but, it was not crazy fast, but closer to an even pace.
Over the last 500 meters, Jakob flew, running by himself over the last 150 meters. This was Jakob’s first senior World record.
