The Boston Marathon weekend is pretty cool. For most of the last 30 years, I visited Boston, wrote about it for the week before, met with running leaders, and spoke to coaches, athletes and officials. The following week, I would head to London Marathon. I loved both and enjoyed the live events but also catching up with friends. This morning, 10,000 runners joined the elites in the BAA 5k. This is the first time in 3 years that Boston Marathon was held in springtime, on Patriots Day.

Your workout for today, April 16, 2022, Saturday: warm-up, 800m, 1,500m, 3000m, or 5000m, cool down.

2022 RunBlogRun Spring Middle Distance Daily Track Training (800m-5000m), Week 14, Day 6

Monday: warm-up, 40-50 minutes moderate running, 6 x 100m stride outs, cooldown

Tuesday: Warm-up, 12 x 200 meters hard, 100-meter jog, the pace is 1500m, 2 x 800m, 400m jog, at 1,500m pace, 20-minute cooldown,

Wednesday: warm-up, 40-50 minutes, moderate running, 6 x 100m stride outs, cooldown

Thursday: Warm-up, 4 x 600m, 400m jog between each, 3000m pace, 6 x 300m, at 1500m pace, 200m jog btw each, 4 x 150m, stride outs, 20 minute-cooldown

Friday: warm-up, 40-50 minutes moderate running, 6 x100m stride outs, cooldown

Saturday: warm-up, 800m, 1,500m, 3000m, or 5000m, cool down

Sunday: 70-75 minutes moderate pace, on trails
