This is the Coffee with Larry Program for Tuesday, November 2, 2022. This is our daily athletic news show.
We began this news program in June 2022 via Facebook LIVE and then began to post on
Twitter and Instagram after embedding on the RunBlogRun site. We hope that you like it! Email at [email protected]
if you have suggestions!
This is my daily chat with
#RunBlogRun viewers and track fans on all things track & field!
1. The Betty Robinson Story. From first Olympic champion, at 100m, in 1928, to being pronounced DOA at an airplane crash. She wasn’t dead, coming back in 1936 to take gold on US 4 x 100m relay team.
2. New York City marathon week, why it is good for the sport.
3. Cross country season is coming to the big stuff, state meets galore, NXN, and FootLocker.
4. A beautiful fall day in Wisconsin!

Larry Eder has had a 52-year involvement in the sport of athletics. Larry has experienced the sport as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now, journalist and blogger. His first article, on Don Bowden, America's first sub-4 minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from American Athletics to the U.S. version of Spikes magazine. He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: "I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself." Also does some updates for BBC Sports at key events, which he truly enjoys.
Theme song: Greg Allman, " I'm no Angel."
