Femke Bol had a wonderous 2022. At the World Champs, Femke took silver in the World Champs Mixed 4x400m relay and silver in the 400m hurdles in July 2022. In August 2022, Femke ran to three golds in the European Championships: gold in the 400m hurdles, her specialty, gold in the 400 meters, and gold in her 4×400 meter relay performance.

Femke is always seen as happy at the major events, she seems to love the competition and her debut in Boston will be a great opportunity to meet one of the finest athletes in the world. We look forward to seeing Femke compete over the 500 meters.

Last weekend, Woody Kincaid, the 2021 Olympic Trials champ at 10,000m and OT bronze medalist at 5,000m, just set an impressive new AR at 5,000 meters at the John Thomas Boston Terrier Classic on Friday, January 27, 2023. His time of 12:51.61 was done in an epic battle with Joe Klecker who ran 12:54.99 and led until the final meters.

Triple European Champion Femke Bol to make New Balance Indoor Grand Prix debut on Feb. 4

New US indoor 5000m record-holder Woody Kincaid added to men’s 3000m at

28th-annual event

Boston, Mass. (Jan. 30, 2023) – Triple European Champion Femke Bol will make her New Balance Indoor Grand Prix debut on Sat., Feb. 4, organizers announced today.

After temporarily relocating to Staten Island due to COVID-19, the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will make its debut at its new home, the TRACK at new balance, a new, state-of-the-art indoor track and field facility at New Balance’s world headquarters in Brighton, Mass.

Tickets for the event on Feb. 4, which forms part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold, are now on sale at www.nbindoorgrandprix.com or by calling 1-877-849-8722.

Making her New Balance Indoor Grand Prix debut, Femke Bol will headline the field in the women’s 500m. Bol is coming off a sensational 2022 season which saw her win European Championships titles for the Netherlands in the 400m hurdles, 400m flat and in the 4x400m relay. She also won the silver and bronze medals over 400m hurdles at the 2022 World Athletics Championships and 2020 Olympic Games, respectively, won 400m and 4x400m silver at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships and is the third-fastest woman in history in the intermediate hurdles.

Also making his New Balance Indoor Grand Prix debut is newly-minted US indoor 5000m record-holder Woody Kincaid. Kincaid recorded a sensational 12:51.61 last weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University to break Grant Fisher’s American record, set last year. The time also makes Kincaid the fourth-fastest man in history in the indoor 5000m.

Those top athletes join the previously announced Noah Lyles, Gabby Thomas, Grant Holloway, Trey Cunningham, Laura Muir, Ciara Mageean, Katie Moon, Katerina Stefanidi, Mariano García, Bryce Hoppel, Marvin Bracy-Williams, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Shericka Jackson, Mikiah Brisco and Aleia Hobbs. Full fields for all events at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix are online now.

The previously announced Jake Wightman has withdrawn.

The 2023 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be shown live on NBC from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 4 and is a founding member of the World Athletics Indoor Tour. The series of the best indoor athletics events around the world awards overall tour winners $10,000 and a guaranteed spot at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.

Applications for media credentials for the 2023 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix are currently open and available until Monday, Jan. 30 at https://www.nbindoorgrandprix.com/meet-info/media-info/. A pre-meet press conference will be held on Friday, Feb. 3 at 11am, while another media opportunity will take place at the TRACK at new balance in the afternoon, with exact timings and athletes in attendance confirmed nearer the time.
