Chase Ealey is coming off the performance of her life at the World Athletics Championships where she earned gold for herself and the United States in the women’s shot put competition. While that medal may be hard to top, her success has not slowed down.

At the 2023 Millrose Games this Saturday, Ealey had a show-stopping performance with a best throw of 20.03 meters (65 feet, 8 ¾ inches) to earn yet another first-place finish.

With the winning toss, the 28-year-old American athlete earned the meet record, the facility record and the world leader for the season.

Ealey was joined on the podium by fellow American athlete Maggie Ewen who finished in third place (19.49m) as well as Canadian Sarah Mitton who finished in second place (19.52m).

Following her impressive performance, Ealey shared a simple message on Instagram:

“That’s better… 20.03m second best indoor ever.”

In the off-season, Ealey dove into training and shared her progress and improvement over social media for her fans to follow along.

Her indoor season started in January when she competed at the Karlsruhe Indoor Meeting in Germany and continued into February at the Reykjavik International Games just a week before she headed to New York City.

Ealey has a lot to celebrate both in and out of her sport. In October, she was announced as a nominee for the World Athlete of the Year coming off of her performance at the championships. In July, Ealey and her long-time boyfriend celebrated their love with an engagement.
