Christian Coleman ran a fine of 20.00 for the 200m at the Miramar Invite. Abby Steiner ran a 22.23 at the Miramar Invite. The Michael Johnson Invitational is to be held on April 21-22, 2023, at Baylor University. Coleman and Steiner are rounding into serious racing shape in spring 2023.
WACO (USA): World co-leader Christian Coleman and in-shape Abby Steiner highlight the 200m entries at the Michael Johnson Invitational at Baylor University on April 21-22. Steiner is also scheduled for the 100m, and at both distances, will face former 400m World champion Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain, returning from a 2-years doping ban (expired 18/02/23), Anavia Battle, and Jamaica’s Ashanti Moore. At 200 also, Nigeria’s Rosemary Chukwuma and 400m specialist Lynna Irby-Jackson. Emmanuel Matadi of Liberia and 38-year-old Michael Rodgers lead the men’s 100m start list.
