Eilish McColgan has had an amazing Spring of 2023. She ran 30:00.83 for the 10,000 meters, breaking the NR of Paula Radcliffe on March 4, 2023. Her next race, the Berlin Half Marathon, where she ran a new NR, also caused some issues. We wish her luck. She obviously knows that she is fit and wants to race the London marathon, where she hopes to break 2:26. This writer believes that Eilish could go, much, much faster.

LONDON (GBR): Eilish McColgan will not be attending the 2023 TCS London Marathon Elite Women’s Press Conference on Friday. She is receiving treatment for a knee issue and has delayed her travel to London to give herself the best chance of being on the start line on Sunday. She said: “Frustratingly, over the past few days, I’ve picked up a niggle in my knee. I am waiting to see how it responds to treatment and want to give that as long as possible before I decide whether to race on Sunday.”
