Okay, sports fans in Nairobi are in for a treat!

Anita Wlodarczyk is in Nairobi.

Just look at these stats!

Anita has won gold in London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2021, and three Olympic golds in the hammer. Only John Flanagan has does that on the Men’s side back in 1900, 1904, and 1908.

In World Champs, Anita Wlodarczk has taken gold in Berlin 2009, Moscow 2013, Beijing 2015, and London 2017.

In European Champs, the Polish hammer goddess has won gold in Barcelona 2010, Helsinki 2012, Zurich 2014, Amsterdam 2016, and Berlin 2018.

A hammer throw is a technical event with a history that goes back to the middle ages.

It is a physically demanding event, and the Polish world record holder (82.98 meters) is coming back from some difficult injuries.

Sixty thousand Kenyan fans will be able to see the finest Women hammer throwers in the known universe compete at the Kip Keino Classic on May 13, 2023.

NAIROBI (KEN): It was all smiles when Anita Wlodarczyk landed in Nairobi, ready to put her Absa Kip Keino Classic title on the line. “I only started training in December last year after going through rehabilitation after the injury,” said Poland’s three-time Olympic champion in the hammer throw. “Realistically, I want to start with 75 meters at the Kip Keino Classic before gradually progressing to 78m in Budapest [World Championships],” said Wlodarczyk. From Nation.
