From the first moment of the live TV meet, there was excitement. This was after four hours of youth events, the hammer throws and shot put. The USATF NYC Grand Prix was a fantastic meet, with Zarnel Hughes breaking the twenty-six-year-old British NR of Linford Christie with his exciting 9.83. The meet ended with Noah Lyles running 19.83, over 200 meters, now giving him more sub 20 seconds race over 200 meters than Usain Bolt.

What was also fantastic was the amazing reaction of the crowd to the elite athletes.
