Week 2, Day 4, Recovery Week Two

Today, take a 30-minute run or 45-minute walk.

This is the beginning of the second week of our two—to three-week recovery time. The idea is to get a physical, mental, and spiritual break. We read books, nap, goof off, and get outside and enjoy nature.

The workouts will be three days a week, and you can walk or bike to get you moving.

In the Men’s 1,500 meters, Cole Hocker was out to defend his title from 2021 and he did. Taking the lead with 250 meters to go, Cole Hocker not only won, but set a new Meet record!

Yared Nuguse set up the race, keeping it fast and honest. Yared hit the 400m in 56 seconds, the 800 meters in 1:55.3, and the 1200 in 2:51! He took the silver and made his second Olympic team. In the final position was Hobbs Kessler, the North American U 18 record holder and the gold medalist in the road mile and bronze medalist in the World Indoor 1,500 meters.

Making the team, one, two or three is what it is about and these three guys did it in their own style!

A 30-minute easy run.

If you need something to do outside (it is hot today), walk 30 minutes early, ride a bike, or, best yet, take a leisurely swim and enjoy the day!
