The 2024 Cross Country season is here!

It is time to race!

560,000 boys and girls in high school are running cross country this fall.

After six weeks of the season (for some, eight weeks), racing is coming along well.

Why do we push hills/

Hills are the secret sauce for many coaches.

Elite athletes love hill work, as it can replace speed work, help build strength, and can be done anywhere there is an incline!

Wednesday, Week 5, Day  6,  October 19, 2024

Warm-up well,

30 minute warm-up, 5k-8k cross country race, 20-30 minute cool-down racing,

Cooldown well, and remember to hydrate.

Check your shoes and make sure that your training shoes

are ready for 12-18 more weeks of training.

If not, go to a local running store and find one or two pairs of good training shoes.

We will speak about that soon!
