2023 RBR Summer Mileage, Week 3, Day 2, July 22, 2025
Tuesday workout, warm-up, 45-60 minutes, on trails, with 8-10 one-minute hill charges and one five-minute hard pace, cooldown well.
Remember to hydrate!
Our athlete today is Jane Hedengren
In December 2024, Jane Hedengren surprised many with her NXN win! Her cross-country win put her on the map as an athlete with wonderful potential!
In 2025, Jane has set nine American records this year, for the 1,500m, mile, 3,200 m, two-mile (twice), and 5,000m. This was after a spectacular indoor season in 2025.
I was totally impressed with her brave running at the HOKA Festival of Miles, where Jane ran a 4:23.50 mile shattering the high school record and running 4:04 for the 1,500m and 4;21.3 for the 1,600m en route !
Jane won the 2024 Gatorade XC Player of the Year and the 2025 Track & Field Athlete of the Year! Jane is a powerful runner, and her cross-country prowess attests to that.
Cross-country has helped her as she progresses from the 1,500 meters to the 5,000 meters. In April, Jane ran a 9:34 for 2 miles, then returned in June and ran 9:17.
We can not wait to see Jane Hedengren running at @byutrackfieldxc next year! Wow, you thought BYU was hot last year.
I’m eager to see Jane transition to the collegiate level.
Jane Hedengren is a NIKE NIL athlete.
