Cam Myers, one of Australia’s finest middle distance runners, continues to impress with his fast running in January!
SEATTLE (USA, Jan 17): Australian Cameron Myers stormed to fastest January mile ever of 3:49.81, to win at the Washington Indoor Preview ahead of road mile World medallist Samuel Prakel (3:54.27) and Brannon Kidder (3:54.62 PB). Maggi Congdon won the women’s mile in 4:27.77 PB and added a 800m win in 2:00.93 short-track PB. Evan Jenkins topped the 3000m in 7:51.42 over Kenya’s Evans Kurui (7:51.44). Personal bests for Alyssa Jones in the high jump (191) and Jimmy Rhoads in the pole vault with 582 (previous best 571), while Tyler Bilyard of Great Britain won the 1000m in 2:17.96.
