This is Coffee with Larry, Episode 871, April 15, 2026, All About the Boston Marathon
This is our nearly daily podcast from #RunBlogRun, which we have been doing since June 2022. We talk most days about all things athletics (running, track & field, race walking, marathon racing, training, and cross country running).
Our topics today:
- The Boston Marathon is hosting its 130th edition. The history, tradition, and exclusivity of the event make Boston a unique venue.
- I have run the Boston Marathon since 1986, when I finished in 3:23. My best time was 2:48.12; however, I ran a rather dumb race. Respect the Boston course!
- Four-time Boston winner Bill Rodgers told me one time that he had, in the four races he won in Boston, not felt well until Heartbreak Hill. What do you think?
- The Boston Presser for Elite is 10 AM on Friday. I will be there.
- Looking forward to catching up with the sport this weekend.
We hope that you enjoy!
See you tomorrow on #CoffeewithLarry!
