Editor’s Note: The Doha Diamond League meeting is a legacy event of the Diamond League. For several years, it was the first meeting of the Diamond League season, with warm weather, an overly enthusiastic crowd, and great performances. Due to the Iran War, the Doha DL has been moved to June 2026.
For someone who travels most years to the Middle East and enjoys his time in the U.A.E., Kuwait, and Qatar, my concern is for the people of the region and the future of our civilization.

Doha DL postponed to June.
DOHA (QAT): The Mazzraty Doha Diamond League has been rescheduled from 8 May to 19 June due to current geopolitical events in the region, organizers inform. Due to the high June temperatures, the event is scheduled to take place at Khalifa International Stadium instead. The stadium, which hosted both the Diamond League and the World Athletics Championships in 2019, is temperature-regulated, allowing athletes to compete safely even in hotter conditions.
