Skechers Aero Models Look To Take Off From The Pack Of The Rival Shoe Companies!
35 years ago in the last century (!) I was training one day under the watchful eyes of Tom Fleming. Aside from his 2:12 Marathon at Boston, his two-time New York City Marathon victories, and his successful world-class coaching of Runners like Joe LeMay and Ann-Marie Lauck, Tom also owned the running store “Tom Fleming’s Running Room” in his hometown of Bloomfield, New Jersey.

It was on the subject of running shoes that Tom basically told me, “There was no such thing as the perfect running shoe… However, if you’re willing to pay around $100 and that shoe fits your foot well, then that’s your shoe! “

Needless to say, that sound, sage advice has really not changed, except for the price tag! Nowadays, one would probably have to venture into the $200 – $300 range to find their shoe.

The grand question is –

 “Which shoe fits you?”

And while the long-time running shoe companies do battle to win the coveted prize of the world’s best running shoes, it’s interesting to note that after starting up over two decades ago, Skechers is attempting to move into the running pack and is looking to take the lead.

With their new models, Skechers, like the other shoe companies, has relied on its own technology, leaving no stone unturned.

Their top three running models include the Aero Spark (a daily trainer with HYPER ARC technology), the lightweight tempo type Aero Razor, and the stacked (!) Aero Burst daily trainer replete with high-end cushioning! All three models also include Goodyear Performance rubber, a design concept that offers excellent grip and durability.
For runners of ALL abilities, it seems that Skechers’ Aero Running Shoes have entered the foray of serious considerations amongst the rest of the competition out there!
With this aggressive push, Skechers has recently re-entered the pack of all the contenders, yet now it is up to the customer. Sure, their quest can make one go through five or six pairs from different shoe companies, incorporating different styles.
But Skechers RUN footwear should appeal to longtime runners, recreational joggers, newbies, and exercise enthusiasts, just like other running shoe contenders.
By the way, Skechers looks like it is seriously entering the sports sponsor battles as well!
In partnership with the USATF Foundation and WebMD, the Skechers/LA Track Festival will take place at Drake Stadium on the UCLA campus on May 23rd! As part of the USATF Tour, this World Athletics Silver Label event will feature the world’s best athletes in races from the 100m to the 5000m!
