Meeting de Paris is a wonderful Diamond League meeting. I enjoyed the event at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis for years. Then, it moved to Stade Charléty for a more intimate setting. 18,000 in an almost full stadium looks superb on the screen, which is great for potential sponsors.

Here are our top U.S. Performers for Meeting de Paris:

  1. 110m hurdles: Jamal Britt took a big win, with his PB of 12.89, 8th on the all-time world list and sixth on the US list. Jamal won USATF Athlete of the Week for that performance. Trey Cunningham, after his 13.06 heat run, ran 13.07 for third in the 110m hurdle finals.

  2. Men’s 100 meters: Trayvon Bromell won the 100 meters, from lane 8, with a huge upset, giving Bromell a season’s best of 9.91. In second, very, very close was Noah Lyles, in 9.92, and in fifth was Jordan Anthony, running 9.99.

  3. Grant Fisher, Olympic bronze medalist at 10,000m and 5,000m from Paris, wins his first Diamond League race, with a swift 54.6 last 400 meters in 12:54.80 from a tough field. Graham Blanks was sixth in the 5,000m in 12:57.12, in the race until the last 200 meters. Fisher is back, as his kick is one of the deadliest in the sport; the issue is, Grant has to be there, mentally and physically.

  4. Men’s 400 meters: Chris Bailey was third in 44.06 for the 400 meters.

  6. Matthew Wilkinson finished sixth in the Men’s steeplechase, in 8:11.35. Matt’s PB is from May 31, 2026, in Rabat, of 8:09.56.

  7. 100m hurdles: Grace Stark was second in 12.38 (SB); Alaysha Johnson was third in 12.39; Rayniah Jones was 6th in 12.60. Please note that Alia Armstrong ran 12.57 and Keni Harrison, former WR holder at 100m hurdles, ran 12.61 in the heats.

  8. Women’s pole vault: Emily Grove was fifth in the pole vault, with a 4.60 meter clearance.
  9. Roisin Willis won the NCAA and US outdoor last year. Roisin finished ninth in 1:58.66, in the race where Audrey Werro ran 1:53.80 for first, and Femke Broeders-Bol ran 1:55.60 for second.
