While the cockroach janta party has launched an improved government school campaign, which is laudable, I also see positives in that environment.
The positive is the children, and while improving all the facilities will take time and money, we can start immediately, at no cost, by building on a positive from the fact that the children walk to and from school every day.
This is the basis from which an Irish missionary in Kenya’s similar schools started the Kenyan running revolution.
Ten years of walking and jogging to school gave them an aerobic base from which world-class runners could easily emerge. This is not rocket science, and India can use this huge population base by providing good coaches there; in five years, these same schools, without any facilities, will be known for producing world champions.
So while the cockroach janta party works on infrastructure, I suggest we work on the children and let’s see india running to the top. We can do it with the children readily available now.
Hoping someone is listening.
