Comebacks by Thompson, Hall and Pichardo
SHANGHAI/KEQIAO(CHN): Keqiao district of Shaoxing in Zhejiang province is the stage for 2nd Wanda DL meet 2025. Forecast for 30+ weather, season progressing, overall expectations are higher than week before. Although this time no WR attempts, still lot of WL/MR possible. Duplantis for six meters, Mahuchikh for two meters, Thompson to duel with Simbine, Hall is back for first time since Paris, can young Yan be a threat for Kitaguchi? Many good questions. And usual hurdles dramas. Warholm with attack on earliest ever sub 47 in the season.

Short previews

Akani Simbine (RSA) wins the Men’s 100m with a time of 9.99s at the Wanda Diamond League Red Star Macalline Xiamen on 26 April 2025

400 m: Similar field as in Xiamen with winner Ndori on top, but Olympic winner Hall comes in (first race since Olympic win). Can they come close to 44 seconds? MR is 43.99.

Triple Jump: This time DL scoring, Oly winner Pichardo comes in (1st competition since DL Final), Zhu wants to win but J. Scott is in shape. Outdoor WL 17.37 and MR 17.24 doable.
