TOKYO (JPN): Swiss Annik Kälin had to withdraw from her World Championships heptathlon due to injury. TOKYO (JPN): In April 2024, the queen of triple jump Yulimar Rojas was knocked down with what, for most athletes, should have been a career ending injury to her achilles tendon. Now after medal in Tokyo and after missing out on defending her Olympic title in Paris last year due to her injury, Rojas is determined to compete in Los Angeles in 2028 and take back what was hers. She has unfinished business with the Olympics, as it is the only title she is yet to be able to defend.
