The choices are either Doha, Qatar or London, England for the 2017 World Championships. Both sides are gearing up on the pr front. The IAAF will make its decision on November 11, 2011.

Olympic legend the latest superstar to get behind London’s bid for World Athletics Championships
LONDON, October 25 2011: Edwin Moses, the two time Olympic gold medallist and two times World Champion who broke his own World Record four times, has today been unveiled as an official bid ambassador for London’s bid to host the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships.
The American hurdler, who is also the recipient of the 2012 Global UNESCO Award for social change for good with the power of sport, won gold at the 1976 and 1984 Olympics and first competed in England in 1978. Moses joins an impressive list of international athlete names supporting London’s bid including Ethiopian Olympic legend Haile Gebrselassie, American high jump World Champion Jesse Williams and Brazilian heptathlon World Champion Fabiana Murer.
Current and former British athletes have also shown their support for the London 2017 with Jessica Ennis, Dai Greene, Phillips Idowu, Denise Lewis, Jonathan Edwards and Sally Gunnell all official bid ambassadors.
Edwin Moses said: “I first ran in London more than 30 years ago and every time I’m here I am always impressed by the fans. There is a great culture of the sport in this country and the spectators really respect athletics and the athletes. A World Athletics Championships in London would also see so many fans travelling to the Championships from Europe which would provide an unrivalled atmosphere.”

The London 2017 bid, which has been put together by UK Athletics, DCMS, the Mayor of London, London & Partners and UK Sport, will be looking to secure the votes of the 27 IAAF Council Members before the decision on who will host the Championships is made on November 11th.
