Week 1, Day 2, Recovery Week One

Today, take a 30-minute run, or 45-minute walk.

This is the beginning of our two—to three-week recovery time. The idea is to get a physical, mental, and spiritual break. We read books, nap, goof off, and get outside and enjoy nature.

The workouts will be three days a week, and you can walk or biking to get you moving.

Each day, we will have an inspirational story for you.

Evan Jager is the American record holder in the Men’s steeplechase.

I was in the Stade de France in 2015 when Evan Jager led for much of the race. He was running a perfect race when, over the last barrier, he clipped it and went down, got up, and still ran 8:00.45, the current AR!

Evan won the Olympic silver medal in Rio 2016 and the WC bronze medal in London 2017.

Evan has competed in two Olympics and five World Championships.

Evan was injured in 2018, came back in 2022, and finished sixth in the World Champs in Eugene.

Evan Jager is nearing the end of his career, and he just qualified for the 2024 Olympic Trials.

We applaud Evan’s bravery, racing savvy, and love of the sport.

We wish him luck in Eugene!

A 30-minute easy run.

If you need something to do outside (it is hot today), walk 30 minutes early, ride a bike, or, best yet, take an easy swim and enjoy the day!
