Suhr attacks WR
KENT (USA, Jan 16): Olympic pole vault winner Jenn Suhr is early in the season already in top shape. At the Doug Raymond Invitational she cleared in third attempt World leading 491 cm. She equaled so her third best ever mark. Then went to attack her World Indoor record with attempts at 503. She commented on twittter: “5.03 WR. Oh so close…!! Just missed it, should have made it. Not satisfied with today’s result 4.91m. Put a lot of air over 4.91 How did I miss the WR at 5.03.” She started at 461 in first attempt and 481 in second.

Editor’s note: When Jenn Suhr and coach/husband Rick Suhr come out of their heated Quonset hut in upstate New York, it is to vault high. Suhr has cleared 4.81m already and this jumping should make her quite excited. Per RBR, we do not believe the Olympic gold medalist will jump at the World Indoors: her focus is RIO!
