I love the throws. I have a picture up of Imre Nemeth in my home. I have pictures of Miklos Nemeth from his wonderous javelin throw in Montreal. As a Hungarian-American, I have a special affinity to the hammer.
We were treated to Pawel Fajdek, Valeriy Pronkin, and Wojciech Nowicki really speaking about the secrets of the hammer. Fajdek is a fantastic athlete. The Polish star loves his event, and if you provide him questions with some knowledge of the event, he will reveal more (and he did here). I have not spoken to Valery Pronkin, but he speaks and looks like he comes out of a novel by Turgenev or Gogol. Pronkin was not happy with his throwing, and he noted that. Wajciech Nowicki was pleased with his medal and his PB this season.
