Rupp for Prague Marathon
PRAGUE (CZE): Twenty days after dropping out of the Boston Marathon, Galen Rupp will race in the Prague Marathon on 6 May, informs LetsRun. Rupp is the sixth fastest entrant on paper with a 2:09:20 PB from his win in the Chicago Marathon last year. The list is headed by Ethiopia’s Sisay Lemma (2:04:08 PB).
RunBlogRun opines: Galen Rupp had a tough reaction to the cold and the bad weather in Boston. In the Instagram below, Galen spoke about his challenges in the Boston marathon. His move to the Prague Marathon suggests that there was no injuries and that he has recovered.

“Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish the Boston Marathon on Monday due to having problems with my breathing and hypothermia as a result of the cold. I want to thank the volunteers and medical personnel with the race who offered assistance to me, as well as many others. Also, congratulations to the winners and all the finishers who were able to endure the brutal conditions. I’m hopeful to race again soon and look forward to being back in Boston again in the future.” Galen Rupp
