The FBK Games is one of those wonderfully intimate events that can give you a taste of the Netherlands, and of sport in Northern Europe. It has been around for decades, and has had some amazing perforrmances. This year was no different.

Telehun Bekele showed his amazing talent with a second sub 13 minute 5000m in five nights! Sam Kendricks showed his PV fitness with a WL of 5.91m. Luvo Manyonga gets 2019 moving with his 8.35m leap in Hengelo. Dafne Schippers delighted the fans with her 11.06 win in the 100m. In a deep women’s 5000m, Margaret Chepkemboi took the WL in 14:37.22 over Sifan Hassan’s EL in 14:38.54 (Sifan’s ER is 14:22.34 from 2018)! Eilish McColgan scored PB in 14:47.94. Oh, and congrats to Kim Conley, who got back on the PB wagon with a fine 15:05.20 in Hengelo!
