Richardson U20 historical double
AUSTIN (USA, Jun 6): First Women´s events day at NCAA Championships saw interesting improvement of French Yanis David 684 (+1.5) in long jump ahead of Jasmyn Steels 671 PB (+0.5) and Ghana´s Deborah Acquah 663 PB (+0.6). Victoria Hoggard topped the pole vault 456, Samantha Noenning shot 18.14 and Canadian Camryn Rogers hammer 71.50, all three life-time bests. In the 10 000 m Eritrean Weine Kelati won in 33:10.84. Fast heats in sprints as expected. In the 100 m U20 Sha´Carri Richardson got 10.99 (+0.6, equalled PB) over Kayla White 11.01, in other heats Anglerne Angelus 11.06 PB (+0.6) and Teahna Daniels 11.05 (+0.5). In the 200 m Angelus 22.35 PB in her heat (+1.3), Richardson 22.37 PB and best ever one day double in the U20 category (her mark also 4th fastest U20 ever) over hurdler Janeek Brown 22.51 PB and in another heat by Cambrea Sturgis 22.51 PB (-0.1). Hurdles heats had Brown getting 12.53 PB (+1.1), Anna Cockrell 12.69 PB (+2.0) ahead of Chanel Brissett 12.70 (equalled PB), and in third Tonea Marshall 12.67 PB (+0.8). Cockrell was also best in 400 m hurdles heats 56.05 and Guyana´s Aliyah Abrams 51.51 PB in 400 m heats. LSU topped 4×100 m in 42.56 with fast times also for Arkansas 42.65, Texas 42.84 and North Carolina 42.95. In 4×400 m USC 3:28.31 and Alabama 3:28.51.
