In 2018, Valarie Allman won the US Championships. She competed in the London 2017 (28th) and Doha 2019 (7th). A seven time All-American, Valarie competed for Stanford University.
How big is this? It is huge for American throwing! Valarie Allman is only the third women thrower over 70 meters in the last ten years! We wish Valarie Allman well and hope to interview her soon!

RATHDRUM (USA, Aug 1): Valarie Allman claimed a US discus record of 70.15m at the Iron Wood Throws Center Invitational in Idaho. It improved on the 69.17m national record of Gia Lewis-Smallwood from six years ago, advanced her PB by 3.00m and makes her only the third 70m thrower of the last 10 years. Also a World lead, another one by Chase Ealey 19.41 in shot put. Kara Winger won the javelin with 64.44m, Riley Dolezal took the mens’ with 79.39m. Nick Ponzio achieved 21.06 in shot put.

With a huge personal best, @vallman123 set a new discus American 🇺🇸 record (pending ratification) of 70.15m/230-2 to break Gia Lewis-Smallwood’s 2014 record of 69.17m. Allman’s personal best before tonight was 67.15m.
