Kate Grace has been one of those athletes that I have wanted to interview for some time. A standout at Marlborough High school, an all girl school, Kate then made the monumental move from Southern California to New England and matriculated at Yale. A fierce competitor, a no Bs attitude, and a level of confidence that is both striking and not boastful, Kate Grace came back from not making the 2021 Olympic team, and setting 3 PBs in a row at the 800m in Diamond League meetings, putting together a season at 800m that she had not seen before. In fact, this was her first focused season at 800m since 2016.

Kate Grace has also been fortunate to compete for the Bowerman Track Club (Coach, Jerry Schumacher), and now, Team Boss, (Coach Joe Bosshard).

We extended our interview, as there were so many questions to ask Kate Grace, which she answered with a vigor and level of honesty that we found refreshing.

Thanks Kate Grace for your time and enthusiasm!

Special thanks to production manager, Mike Deering, who manages most of our podcasts.
