Happy 4th of July everyone!
Hello, campers! We begin 8 weeks of summer mileage today. As we build to the cross country season, we will build up to a weekly long run, a tempo run, a hill session, and for those who desire, a 2-mile to 5k race. You have just had a few weeks of recovery, and we will get you going slowly.
Today, we write about Bryce Hoppel. Bryce Hoppel was a fine collegiate runner, having won the NCAA champs. In 2019, Bryce finished 4th in the World Champs in Doha, following Donavan Brazier, who won the 800m. Bryce has this amazing finish and over the past few years, he has perfected it.
In March 2022, Bryce took the World Indoor bronze medal in the 800 meters. At the US Outdoor Champs, Bryce Hoppel took the lead and did not let go over the last 300 meters, winning the US Champs! How will he fare in Eugene in two weeks?
I can not wait to see him run!
