Chase Jackson Makes History: Two ARs for shot put in one week!

Chase Jackson has had a most excellent 2026.

Indoors, Chase Jackson won both the US Indoor title and the World Indoor title! The World Indoor title, where she threw 20.14m for the win, was the first indoor title of her career! Earlier in the season, Chase said she was focusing on the indoor season because she wanted the World Indoor title to add to her medal haul.

If one follows Chase Jackson’s throwing over the summer season, the keen observer will notice that Chase’s evolving throws show stronger technique, great focus, and improved distance. Bislett was won with a throw of 20.38m at Bislett, a new Meet record. At the NIKE Pre Classic, Chase Jackson competed relaxed and with vigor, winning again with 20.55 meters.

The USATF Outdoors showed Chase impressing even more, with her fine 20.92 meters (68’7.75″).

Then came ISTAF Berlin. On August 30, 2026, Chase Jackson threw 21.02 meters, a new American record, with a strong series (throw six at 20.88 meters).

In Brussels, at the Memorial Van Damme, on September 4, 2026, Chase Jackson used her third attempt to throw 21.14 meters, a new American record, MR, DLR, and world lead! That is 69’4.25″ !

Chase had two good throws in this series. She told the media that ” the big throw was the prettiest throw of the year!”

Chase Jackson had just thrown the farthest by a woman in fifteen years! In her post-event presser, in the mixed zone, Chase told Lode Nyuts, the Diamond League interveiwer:

Chase Jackson: Um, yeah, I mean, like, it’s, you always know it’s a really good day when, um, there’s a bunch of letters next to your number, you know, and not the best series of my life, but I feel amazing, and I can’t wait to go to the hotel and let it sink in, because I don’t quite think I’ve had the time to let it kind of soak in…I’m, I’m just going to take some time off. I’m going to go vacay a little. I’m tired, you know, get some rest. Lode Nuyts (interviewer): No better way to go on a vacay.. Yeah, I think I ended the year just how I wanted to, and I can’t ask for more. Like, this is exactly what I needed. ”

Chase Jackson has had a most excellent adventure in the shot put in 2026. We can not wait to see Chase in 2027!
